Come and Sing - A Musical Tour


The "Come and Sing" event, taking place on Saturday, February 15, is open to everyone, including "experienced choir members, wannabe singers, and bathroom vocalists".

The last "Come and Sing" day was held in 2018, featuring a programme of music titled "Through the Ages", which included works by 16th-century composer Thomas Campion and 20th-century composer John Tavener.

The event was "well attended and enjoyed by all", and the society hopes to attract a similar crowd for this year's tour. The society's conductor, Juan Ortuño will be leading the day. The accompanist for the day will be their regular rehearsal assistant, Jonathan Ellis.

The short performance at 4 pm is free of charge. Please invite

friends, family and anyone else who would like to hear some

great and enthusiastically sung choral music.

Cost: £20, including music hire and soft drinks (mid-morning and mid-

afternoon). Reduction for students and BCS members.


Lunch can be ordered before the start of the first rehearsal session, or

you may bring your own.
